What Kind Of Dogs Have Hair Instead Of Fur

What Kind of Dogs Have Hair Instead of Fur?

There are many dog breeds that have hair instead of fur. Although hair and fur are basically the same, hair sheds less, which is important for people who are allergic to pet dander.

Airedale Terrier

Airedales are friendly, loyal and intelligent. But because of this intelligence, and the fact that they are hunters, training them can be more difficult. They are easily bored and can be easily distracted by other animals. They are often called the King of the Terriers since they are the largest terrier breed.

Bearded Collie

The Bearded Collie is a medium-sized working dog that is a natural herder. They are full of energy, cheerful and love being around people. Bearded Collies require more physical and mental exercise than many other dogs.

Portuguese Water Dog

The Portuguese Water Dog is a medium-sized, high-energy dog. They are brave, intelligent, easy to train, faithful and obedient. Porties love to romp and play and are good companions for children and other dogs.

Belgian Griffon

The Belgian Griffon is also known as the Brussels Griffon and is a small dog, or toy breed. They are cheerful and make good companions for other dogs and even cats. The Belgian Griffon needs a lot of mental and physical stimulation.

Yorkshire Terrier

The Yorkshire terrier, or Yorkie, is also a toy breed. They are energetic, adventurous and very loyal. Although they are very small, they display an outsized bravery. Yorkies can become yappy, suspicious of strangers and aggressive to other animals if their owners are not strong pack leaders.
