Get Grants For Rescuing Pets In Arkansas

Seek grants to help fund a pet rescue in Arkansas.

If you are a pet lover, rescuing pets can be an extremely rewarding experience. However, costs are high and you may have to find other means of funding. If you reside in Arkansas, and would like to start a pet rescue, there are a few funding options through grants. Before attempting to get a grant to assist your pet rescue efforts in Arkansas, there are a few things that must be researched.

Instructions

1. Determine the means of your funding. If you cannot afford the out-of-pocket costs, there are several groups like Care For Animals, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or ASPCA, or Animal Welfare Trust who may donate and help with the setup of your rescue. These organizations are dedicated to helping animals and are the best supporters for your cause. Visit their website and follow their application process.

2. Visit the USA Funding Applications website to apply for government funding. Choose the individual funding option to apply on your own. Follow the application process and pay the application fee. As of August 2010, the application fee is $24.95, which funds the maintenance of the website. This fee will be refunded to you if you do not qualify for any grants.

3. Start rescuing or find a new avenue. At this point if you are approved, you can start looking at location sites for your rescue. If you are denied, you may then choose to proceed with a similar process in finding a new method of funding. Find an organization with ties to your cause, like the one listed above, and proceed with an application. You can also attempt to raise funds privately and accept monetary donations toward your rescuing efforts.
