Asparagus takes on a mythic presence in Neopets, due mainly to the fact that it is the favorite vegetable of the site's creator, Adam Powell. Asparagus is one of the rarest items in Neopets, and it's not available for purchase in Neopian shops. The only way to get asparagus in the game is to make it yourself by combining two other rare ingredients--sunflower seeds and a magic potion--which are also not available in Neopian shops.
Instructions
1. Click on "Shops" in the top navigation and then click "Shop Wizard." On the "Shop Wizard" page enter "sunflower seeds" or "magic potion" in the search box and hit enter. Click on a shop and once you're at the shop page, select the item and then click to confirm that you want to buy that item.
2. Check the "Trading Post" under "Shops" in the top menu, if you didn't find the items in any user shops. Click "Browse Lots" and enter the item name into the search box. If you see a trade posted that offers the sunflower seeds or magic potion in exchange for an item you have in your inventory, click "Make an Offer" to trade the owner your items or to offer neopoints.
3. Check the "Auction Genie" under "Shops" and enter the item in the "Auction Genie" search box. If you see either item available as an auction listing, place a bid. When the auction timer runs out, you'll see whether your bid was successful and if it was, the item will show up in your inventory.
4. Click "Explore" in the top menu, then click "Mystery Island" and "Cooking Pot." At the Cooking Pot, select the seeds and potion as your first and second items. Once you've selected the two items, click "Mix Items."
5. Find the asparagus in your inventory by clicking "Custom" in the top navigation and then clicking "Inventory." The asparagus will be the last item listed in your inventory.
