You can play DS games on your computer using a disc.
The Nintendo DS is a popular handheld gaming system with an extensive catalog of games. The most common way to play DS games is on the console itself but you can also play DS games on your computer using emulation software. To organize your DS games you can burn them to a disc, which will allow you to play them on an emulator as well as keep them as backup copies.
Instructions
Download a DS Emulator
1. Navigate to an emulation software website. Emulator Zone has six DS emulators as of January 2011 with No$GBA being the top downloaded emulator.
2. Download No$GBA. This will be downloaded as a compressed file. You can use WinRAR to extract the contents to a new folder. To avoid misplacing it, create a folder on your desktop to extract the contents into.
3. Extract the contents of the file into your folder on the desktop. In the folder will be an executable program called No$GBA. When you double-click that program, your Nintendo DS emulator will start. Rebind the keys to your preferred keyboard buttons or gamepad.
4. Locate the "ROMS" folder located in the same folder as the NO$GBA program. If this file is missing, create a new one titled "ROMS." Drag and drop any DS ROM files you have into this folder.
Burning a DS Disc
5. Download ImgBurn. This is a free disc burning utility.
6. Install ImgBurn. Use the default settings when prompted.
7. Insert a blank CD or DVD into your computer's disc drive.
8. Run ImgBurn. Select the "Write Files/Folders to Disc" option. Drag and drop the folder on your desktop containing your ROM files and the No$GBA program into the window on the left side of the ImgBurn window.
9. Click "Build" in the bottom left of the ImgBurn window. This will add your files and folders to the disc and then begin the burning process. Click "Burn" when prompted. It may do this automatically if you are away from the computer.
