1. Identify the character toys. The popular Madagascar plush toys are the main characters of the movie: Marty the Zebra, Alex the Lion, Mehman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo. The Penguins are also in good demand.
2. Choose the type of plush toy you are looking for, talking or non-talking. There are talking versions of Marty the Zebra and Alex the Lion and they say some of the memorable lines from the movie. They require two AA batteries.

5. Consider the age of the toy recipient when making your selection. Most of the Madagascar plush toys are intended for ages three and up.
