Install The Sims Complete Collection

"The Sims: Complete Collection" is an eight-disc collection that includes the original Sims game and all of its expansion packs. When setting up the game, an automatic installer will do all of the work for you, except for changing the discs in the right order and at the right time. However, you must have the correct amount of free space and meet the minimum computer spec information for the installation to work.

Instructions

1. Ensure that your computer meets the minimum specifications for the game. The minimum specs include a CPU speed of 500 MHz; 256 MB of RAM; 3.5 GB of free disc space; 4 MB of video memory; and a DVD drive.

2. Open up your case and find the instruction manual. The instruction manual should have the installation key printed on it. Write this down or keep the manual handy during the installation process.

3. Open up your DVD drive and insert the first of the eight discs available with the complete collection. The discs will have small numbers printed on their labels. The first disc is the main "Sims" game and must be installed before installing the others. The automatic installation program should begin. Follow the on-screen instructions.

4. Enter the installation key once you are asked to enter it. Click the "next" button to continue the installation process. Eventually, the installation program will ask you to remove the first disc and insert the second. You may end the installation here if you only want the "Sims" and none of the expansion packs. If you want the expansion packs, continue.

5. Insert the second disc and close the disc drive. The installation process will automatically continue. After it is done with the second disc, insert the third. Continue the process until you have all the expansion packs you want or until all discs have been installed.
