Create a Page on Facebook to provide potential customers or fans a dedicated portal to keep up-to-date on Facebook. Then launch a Facebook promotion to drive users to your Page, with the ultimate goal of creating customers.
Instructions
1. Create a Page for the entity you want to promote. Click the "Create a Page" button at the bottom of Facebook. Select a Category -- "Entertainment" and "Business" are two options -- provide a subcategory and click "Get Started." Provide information and photos about your product, service or business, completing the page just as you did your personal profile.
2. Click the "Suggest to Friends" button located on the Page. Click the name or profile picture of whichever Facebook friends you want to notify of the Page. Each person who accepts the suggestion "Likes" your page and becomes a fan of it, which sends posts you make via the Page to that person's news feed.
3. Make relevant, frequent posts to your Page's Wall. Use them not only as an opportunity to keep existing fans updated, but also to suggest to fans to share your updates with their friends, augmenting your Page's reach.
4. Start a Facebook ad campaign for your Page. Click the "Advertising" button at the bottom of the Facebook home page and then click your Page in the "Destinations" menu. Input a description for your ad, select a picture to go along with it and select a target audience and location. Provide a maximum per-day budget for your ad. Click "Place Ad" and enter your credit card or PayPal payment details to place the ad live on the site.
