Open until 3 am, the Journal Square Caf also offers a full bar and a loaded drink menu. Additional features include billiards, darts and ping pong tables. Located in the heart of Jersey City, Journal Square Caf is a local favorite.
Caf Mogador
Caf Mogador is a Moroccan restaurant in New York City. The restaurant is less than five miles from the city limits of Jersey City. Opened in 1983, the Caf Mogador has become a landmark in the East Village. The restaurant features menus for breakfast, lunch and brunch. Each of the menus includes traditional Moroccan fare, which has French and Middle Eastern influences. Bastilla, tagines, lamb and various rice such as basmati and couscous are featured. The bar has various domestic and imported beers and wines.
Alfanoose
Alfanoose was founded in 1990 by a Syrian/Lebanese chef who desired to bring quality, Arab food to the New York City/Jersey City area. Traditional favorites such as lamb shawarma, shish kabobs, hummus and tawook are featured daily. Alfanoose offers vegetarian dishes as well. According to "New York Magazine" and "Gourmet Magazine,' every year since 2000, Alfanoose has been awarded the best falafel in New York. Alfanoose adheres to Middle Eastern halal tradition.
