"Moshi Monsters
" is a free online website that allows kids to adopt and care for "virtual monsters." The in-game currency, "Rox," is earned by completing educational puzzles. Rox is then used to purchase items like food and toys for adopted monsters. According to the official site, over 30 million monsters have been adopted as of 2011. As players play the game, adopted monsters increase in level, allowing the visiting of new areas in "Monstro" City.
Instructions
1. Click on the red button with the word puzzles "Puzzles" above it, on the left-hand side of the monster house. This takes you to the "Puzzle Palace," where you can play the daily challenges, as well as the Hall of Puzzles.
2. Click on "Daily Challenge," then "Start" to begin playing. Answer the multiple-choice questions as quickly as you can to earn experience and raise the level of your monster, shown on the top right-hand side of the screen. If you get enough experience from the challenge, the color of the level indicator will change, and the indicator will display the words "Level up."
3. Click the red "Puzzles" button again, then click "Hall Of Puzzles." For low-level monsters, this is an easy way to upgrade level. Click on the name of the puzzle you want to play, then wait for it to load. Click "Start."
4. Keep playing the "Hall of Puzzles" games until the blue bar underneath the level indicator is filled up. Once it is full, your Moshi Monster will go up another level.
