Interested in selling on Craigslist, then follow these steps to get your item noticed and sold.
Instructions
1. Determine the price of similiar items listed on Craigslist, by typing in your item name, such as eliptical machine, and see what the asking prices are for similiar items.
2. Determine if you are willing to sell the item at or near that price, then go ahead and follow these steps. If there are no similiar items, then go ahead try your luck and sell the item for any fair price you wish, as their is no comparable items to compete with.
3. Take many pictures of the item with a digital camera, from different angles, and in good light. Preferably if taking pictures inside the house, wait for a sunny day.
4. Upload the pictures and pick your favorite four that showcase all the various angles of your item. Choose four pictures, since that is the most Craigslist allows you to upload. More pictures allow the buyer to get a better idea of the condition of the item.
5. Open your Craigslist account, post the item in items for sale, choose the category and location.
6. Write the title and the description of the item, remember that the more precise you are with the item's description, the easier it is to sell.
7. Determine if you want the item to be listed generically, hiding your contact information, or you could include your contact information in the item description section. But remember that allows anyone access to your personal information.
8. Upload the four pictures of the item.
9. List the item and follow the Craigslist's guidelines for safety, scams, and fraud.
