Post A Free Car Ad

Mostly private car owners contact professional auto dealers and pay them a part of vehicle's cost price as commission to get their vehicles sold. There are other methods, too, for selling your vehicle off without involving dealer or paying for expensive ads on magazines and newspapers. If you don't want to pay for your car ad, you can look for free web-based ad portals. Since they are free, place ads on as many online places as possible as to get maximum attention.

Instructions

1. Go to a website like Auto Explosion, Car Posts and Uno Car Dealers (see Resources). When you open these websites, go to their "Car Ad" posting page and specify if you're posting a "Wanted" ad or "For Sale" ad. Specify your car model, year, body style, price, miles driven, VIN, number of doors and other details that you might want to add for potential buyers. Then submit the ad and provide your contact details, such as email ID, name, ZIP code, physical address and phone number.

2. Go to a free classifieds website such as Craiglist, Adland Pro, Adsglobe, Gumtree or Facebook (see Resources). These classifieds and community portals post free ads for different things including vehicles.

3. Go to the website Cars For Sale and place your free ad. You will have to specify your car's particulars.

4. Write "For Sale" sign on a piece of paper along with your contact details and place it in the rear window of your car. Make it attractive enough so when you drive around town, other people can see it and note down your phone number to discuss further prospects.
