Create Blank Certificates

Certificates are an ideal way of getting kids enthused about learning.

Certificates are an ideal way of getting kids enthused about learning. All kindergarten or pre-school teachers should have a stack of blank certificates in their arsenal, ready to be filled in. Children, as with adults, love to feel they are working towards something. Creating an award ceremony for each topic being studied keeps children motivated to the end. Even parents can benefit from creating blank certificates. You will be amazed at how quiet your offspring are during that long car journey when there is a certificate to be won at the end.

Instructions

1. Go to a reputable website offering blank award certificate downloads. Certificate Maker and 123 Certificates (see "Resources") both offer blank certificate templates.

2. Choose the template design you like. Select the coloring of the certificate font and border. If you are using a colored card to print the certificates, make sure the border coloring is not the same as your card.

3. Delete the stock award name, given in the text box provided and leave the recipient's name blank. By leaving both blank, you can print out as many certificates as you need in one go.

4. Click on the "Print" icon, when the finished blank certificate appears on your screen. Insert the blank card into your printer and type the number of copies you want printed into the pop-up box provided. Click the "Print" button.

5. Write the award name and the name of the certificate's recipient in black marker pen in the space provided.
